The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) has developed an initial upgraded scheme for the information network security technology system of its government affairs hall, according to Guiyang HIDZ officials on June 28.
Officials in the zone -- located in Guiyang, capital of China's southwestern Guizhou province -- said this was to bring about major improvements in the network's security capabilities and the levels of service in the government services hall.
The zone invited experts in the field to investigate the network topology, network equipment, security equipment, user terminals and network management system of its government hall in detail.
Officials said that according to the optimization and improvement suggestions they put forward from the perspective of network security technology -- as well as the relevant national requirements and standards -- a preliminary optimization scheme was put together.
According to officials, based on the upgrading scheme, the zone plans to improve the technical system in five specific areas.
These are: the physical environment, communications network, regional boundaries, the technical environment and the management center.
Construction of a management system will focus on the management organization, security management personnel, system construction management and system operation and maintenance management.
Moving forwards, the zone will invite experts to further demonstrate and optimize the upgraded scheme.
This is so as to meet the security needs of the government affairs system under the new conditions -- and to promote the coordinated development of the informatization construction and information security guarantees in the zone.
