Guizhou Zhicheng Technology Co Ltd – a company located in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- launched a new evaluation platform for traffic violation judgments and penalties on May 27, which could go national, according to Guiyang HIDZ officials.
Supported by the Guiyang municipal traffic management bureau and entirely researched and developed by the company, the platform can automatically process traffic violation data captured online by the electronic police system 24 hours a day.
It can then generate penalty recommendations for each traffic misdemeanor through intelligent artificial intelligent (AI) algorithms and improve the efficiency of manual auditing.
The company said the platform can also increase the efficiency of daily processing by 50 percent and improve the accuracy of identifying the main traffic violation types by 96 percent, while greatly improving the efficiency of traffic infringement judgments and penalties.
It did so, based on the actual problems encountered in law enforcement scenarios on urban roads – adjusting for the low efficiency of manual auditing, the difficulties in identifying new types of traffic violation, unclear photo captures and the actual needs of traffic management.
At present, the platform has entered trial operations and there are plans to introduce it nationally in the future.
