A high-end manufacturing base for aluminum alloy doors and windows will soon kick off production at the Shawen Ecological Scientific Park in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) -- in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou according to Guiyang HIDZ officials
Local media reports on May 7 said the factory will cover an area of 50 mu (3.33 hectares). The first phase of the plant includes 30,000 square meters of standard factory buildings and 20,000 sq m of support facilities.
Zone officials said the plant's main section is expected to be completed in August and put into production in October.
The completion and operation of first phase is expected to accelerate the establishment of a high-end manufacturing industry supply chain. This will produce high-performance, low-energy, pollution-free door and window systems, individual high-quality doors and windows and assembled building supporting doors and windows in Guizhou.
The construction of the plant has been divided into two phases. Officials said phase one is expected to be put into production during the National Day.
They said the construction of the second phase project includes a staff training building, a production workshop for intelligent aluminum alloy doors and windows, among other things.
Two kilometers away from the new plant is a market for aluminum alloy materials in Shawen.
Officials said that after the base is put into production, it will drive the development and growth of the aluminum alloy industry supply chain in the Guiyang HIDZ.
