Changtong intelligent manufacturing industrial base -- a key project in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- began construction on March 12 at the Shawen Ecological Scientific Park in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Guiyang, capital city of the province, according to Guiyang HIDZ officials.
With investment of about 580 million yuan ($82.81 million), the Changtong intelligent manufacturing industrial base covers an area of 12.6 hectares, with a total construction area of about 140,000 square meters. Officials said that after completion, the annual output value of the project will exceed 4 billion yuan.
The project includes two sections: an intelligent electrical equipment manufacturing project and a China-EU cooperation project for NE0 environmental protection catalytic oxidation materials.
NE0 environmentally friendly catalytic oxidation material is a new type of safe and environmentally friendly material. It is widely used in the harmless treatment of medical liquid waste, hospital wastewater purification and disinfection, petrochemicals wastewater purification, watershed management and emergency treatment of water source protection sites and water pollution.
Officials said the construction of the intelligent electrical equipment manufacturing project involves state-of-the-art technology.
It will feature 10 intelligent electrical equipment production lines for high and low voltage intelligent distribution cabinets and ring-network cabinets, among other things, and involve an energy-saving busbar trunking system.
These will meet the needs of the internet of things in the 5G era and the "smart grid" in Guizhou, as well as the development and manufacturing of electrical equipment, combined with the application of big data in Guizhou.
The China-EU cooperation project for NE0 environmentally friendly catalytic oxidation materials includes the construction of the first domestic "NE0 environmentally-friendly catalytic oxidation materials" manufacturing and technology research base and a NE0 intelligent sewage purification equipment manufacturing base.
At the same time, it also includes the construction of a Guizhou organic wastewater treatment technology experiment center and an organic pollutant detection center, which will become a three-in-one platform for China-EU cooperation in manufacturing, equipment application and the R&D of high-end environmental protection materials.
Officials said that after being put into production in Guiyang in October this year, the new facility will fill a gap in the domestic production of NE0 environmentally friendly catalytic oxidation materials.
