The 2019 Seminar on Classification and Disposal of Household Waste and Recycling of Waste Textiles was held at Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) on Sept 19 -- aiming to offer practical professional advices for the city to improve its waste classification and recycling of waste textiles.
Themed on "recycling waste textiles, taking the market as orientation", the Guiyang HIDZ seminar attracted the participation of nearly 200 attendees.
They came from government departments, research institutes and included entrepreneurs from the related fields of waste textiles recycling and utilization, to discuss the recycling of textiles.
Nie Wenjun, secretary general of the Guiyang resource recycling association told the seminar that as one of the 46 key cities in the country conducting waste sorting, the amount of recyclable resources involved in garbage classification last year totaled million metric tons.
At the seminar, the China Resource Recycling Association released a white paper on waste textile recycling, offering important guidance for the development of the waste textile recycling industry.
