A total of five companies located in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of southwestern Guizhou province, have been evaluated as municipal innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs.
Guiyang HIDZ officials said that was according to a list published by the Guiyang department of science and technology and bureau of finance.
A total of 10 enterprises won the recognition this time and the selected enterprises in Guiyang HIDZ accounted for half of the city's total.
According to local media reports, the enterprises that have been awarded the title of municipal innovative SMEs will receive a 200,000 yuan ($28,422) bonus.
The evaluation of innovative SMEs is organized by Guiyang department of science and technology, officials said.
It aims to further strengthen the dominant position of the technological innovation of companies, enhance the independent innovation ability of enterprises and the city.
