Wudang's diverse wellness services attract visitors

Based on a rich ecological environment and abundant ethnic medicine resources, Wudang district in Guiyang city has focused on two key areas: healthcare and wellness, and hot spring wellness.

The district has developed a range of services covering medical care and rehabilitation, hot spring bathing, wellness cuisine, and long-stay vacations, attracting visitors from Beijing, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Shaoxing for summer wellness retreats.

Hot spring wellness is a key attraction in Wudang. Wanxiang Hot Spring Resort draws on its natural selenium-rich metasilicic acid hot springs, and incorporates traditional medicine and cultural practices of the Miao, Dong, and Yao ethnic groups. It features more than 50 themed pools, including therapeutic pools using locally sourced medicinal herbs. Wanxiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic also offers acupuncture, cupping, medicinal baths, and massage, along with customized seven- and 15-day wellness programs.

For long-stay visitors, the resort offers monthly stays, wellness programs, and packages combining accommodation, meals, and hot spring experiences. Meanwhile, Wudang Lewan International Rehabilitation Center provides older visitors with services, including health records, chronic disease management, rehabilitation therapy, and nutritional meals, supported by facilities such as sleep monitoring and fall-detection systems.

Wudang continues to upgrade its wellness services and expand wellness tourism offerings, turning its ecological, healthcare, and cultural resources into new drivers for integrated tourism development.
