Construction is in full swing at Wudang district's Daoxiangcun area urban renewal project, with workers pushing forward at full speed.
Located in the Guanxilu sub-district, the project has a total investment of approximately 716 million yuan ($98.95 million). It covers 25.36 mu (1.69 hectares), has a floor area of nearly 79,000 square meters, and includes residential buildings, commercial spaces, office buildings, and a two-level underground parking garage.
Once a thriving commercial hub, Daoxiangcun had become outdated over time. To enhance the district's image and improve living conditions, Wudang has actively advanced urban renewal efforts. The project prioritizes public participation, incorporating residents' input into planning and ensuring efficient execution through advanced construction techniques and environmental measures.
Currently, 100,000 cubic meters of earthworks and foundation pit support have been completed, with 60 percent of the foundation work finished. The project aims to complete foundations by March 2025 and top out by the end of the year.
