In recent years, efforts by Wudang district in Guiyang to build a modern industrial system focusing on the health pharmaceutical industry as its leading industry and the electronic information industry as its characteristic industry have paid off.
So far, the district is home to 10 health pharmaceutical enterprises above a designated size. These enterprises primarily produce traditional Chinese medicine and chemical drug formulations, and have received 149 drug approvals.
From January to August this year, the district's health pharmaceutical enterprises above a designated size generated a total output value of 4.51 billion yuan ($622.28 million) and a total added value of 1.49 billion yuan, an increase of 9.77 percent year over year.
Wudang's electronic information manufacturing industry primarily focuses on electronic components and supports major sectors such as aerospace, rail transport, automotive, and telecommunications. Electronic component manufacturing forms the industry's core, accounting for 70.06 percent.
So far, Wudang is home to nine enterprises above a designated size, with six under Zhenhua Group.
Zhenhua Group has achieved rapid growth in recent years, with annual increases exceeding 20 percent for two consecutive years. Its products dominate the domestic high-tech electronics market, with market shares of over 60 percent and some exceeding 80 percent.
The district is entering a period of intense technological innovation, transitioning towards high-tech enterprises and advanced market demands. It has established a national-level research and development center, five provincial technology centers, and nine corporate R&D centers.
