With the rapid development of family farms in recent years, Xinpu village in Wudang district, Guiyang, has become a popular destination among people seeking a slow-paced rural life.

Over the years, Xinpu village has been working to develop family farms by adopting a "three ones" model. The model encourages villagers to exchange their lands to consolidate previously scattered plots into single piece of land, leading to the establishment of family farms engaging in agricultural tourism featuring recreation, sightseeing and rural life experience.

So far, Xinpu village has established a total of 16 family farms, focusing on fruit tree cultivation and aquaculture. These 16 farms generate an annual income exceeding 2 million yuan ($274,800).

The Yuanfang Plum Orchard family farm has planted over 30 mu (2 hectares) of two types of plums. Its expected yield this year is nearly 10,000 kilograms, and it is projected to reach 20,000 kg in the next couple of years.

Wang Yuanfang, the farm's owner, said, "After my plums started bearing fruits in the past two years, I posted information on Douyin and WeChat Moments, attracting many tourists to my orchard for sightseeing and picking. Guests find the quality quite good, and they always leave satisfied."
