Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, aims to achieve an industrial output exceeding 50 billion yuan ($6.85 billion) and establish two 10-billion-yuan-level industrial parks in the fields of healthcare pharmaceuticals and electronic information manufacturing by 2025.
The district's 2025 targets also include an annual average growth rate of over 15 percent for industrial enterprises above designated size, accumulated industrial investments totaling 10 billion yuan, 1,200 industrial market entities, over 100 industrial enterprises above designated size, and a manufacturing added value accounting for 35 percent of GDP.
To realize these goals, Wudang will focus on developing a "one park, one belt, and two integrations" industrial spatial layout, and build industrial clusters led by healthcare pharmaceuticals and electronic information manufacturing.
"One park" refers to the Xintian Electronic Information Industrial Park, led by China Zhenhua Electronics Group Co, which will develop the electronic information manufacturing industry with a focus on electronic components.
"One belt" refers to the Wudang Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Belt. By focusing on the construction of the Sinopharm Western Medical Industrial Park, the belt is set to develop the health and pharmaceutical industry with an emphasis on traditional Chinese medicine, chemical pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices, and promote supporting industries such as packaging, logistics, and trade.
"Two integrations" means that Huoshipo and Xinchang Integrated Industrial Parks will integrate and complement their development with nearby zones to develop ecological specialty foods, the integrated commercial and logistics industry, and the integrated circular economy industry.
