Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will strengthen its guarantee of the safety of drinking water and domestic sewage treatment in rural areas this year.
In terms of the former, Wudang will finish building two rural water supply guarantee projects this year in Huanglian village and Xinchang town.
The district will complete the task of overhauling sewage treatment in three villages, ensuring that the treatment rate in the villages reaches 60 percent. It will also finish construction work on two township (town) sewage treatment facilities and supporting pipe network upgrading projects, resulting in 90 percent of households having access to the network.
In addition, Wudang will strengthen the operation and management of township (town) sewage treatment plants to ensure all sewage treatment facilities run smoothly while meeting high operational standards.
