The efforts made by Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to boost economic development and improve people's livelihood, have finally delivered results.
In 2022, all 13 townships, towns and sub-districts in Wudang had established one-stop government service centers and convenient service stations.
Over 900 district-level administrative matters could be handled online, and over 1,500 government service matters could be handled at one of the available service windows.
In 2022, Wudang completed 248 million yuan ($37.01 million) in value-added tax credits and refunds. A total of 3 billion yuan in various tax and fee reductions were made, which further stimulated the vitality of market players.
Focusing on supporting entrepreneurs and small and micro-sized enterprises, Wudang issued small guaranteed loans that amounted to 27.22 million yuan last year.
In 2022, Wudang introduced 93 new projects and 26 enterprises with excellent business performance. It also signed 14 key investment promotion projects with a total investment of 13.05 billion yuan.
The total foreign trade in Wudang reached $42.5 million last year, a year-on-year increase of 25 percent. Last year, 6,617 new market entities were established in the district, with a registered capital of 6.74 billion yuan.
In terms of improving people's livelihood, Wudang carried out 33 recruitment activities in 2022, providing 28,520 jobs and reaching a total of 2,330 employment intentions.
Wudang also saw the completion of 6,016 new urban jobs and 2,317 rural labor force transfers. Last year, the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 46,018 yuan and 24,233 yuan, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent and 8.6 percent.
