Wudang expressway progresses its rapid construction

Construction of the TJ-8 section of the Wudang-Changshun Expressway is rapidly progressing.

The section is being constructed by China Railway's 18th Bureau Group Corporation Limited and will be 17.52 kilometers long.

This section of the expressway includes two extremely large bridges, 16 large and medium bridges, 35 culverts, two overpasses, two interchanges and one service area.

At present, 93 percent of the subgrade earthwork in the TJ-8 section is completed, 86.22 percent of the culverts are finished, and 40 percent of the bridges are completed.

The whole section is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2023.

The Wudang-Changshun Expressway is a key project intended to help build Guizhou province into a land transportation hub in Southwest China.

The starting point of the expressway is located in Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.

It connects the Guiyang-Weng'an Expressway and the Duyun-Anshun Expressway, and finally ends in Changshun county in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
