Wudang to strengthen IP, commercial secret protection

A nameplate unveiling for the Wudang district commercial secret protection and intellectual property pilot (IP) units was recently held in Wudang market regulation bureau.

Four enterprises in Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were granted the title of 2022 Wudang District Intellectual Property Pilot Enterprise.

They are Guiyang Yongle Pharmaceutical Co, Guizhou Wufufang Food Group, Guizhou Normal University Science and Technology Park Management Co and Guizhou Zhengdao Biotechnology Co.

Meanwhile, the "Notice of Wudang District Market Regulation Bureau on Determining the Pilot Enterprises of Intellectual Property Rights in Wudang District in 2022" was read out, and the "Notice of Guizhou Provincial Market Regulation Bureau on Printing and Distributing Guidelines for Operators to Strengthen the Protection of Commercial Secrets" was studied.

During the meeting, it was also requested that all pilot enterprises strictly follow the requirements of the "Agreement on Intellectual Property Pilot Work of Enterprises and Institutions in Wudang District" to ensure that the pilot work achieves actual results.

It was also required that enterprises analyze and utilize IP information, cultivate high-value patents, patent pledges and financing, and cultivate well-known trademarks.

The moves aim to improve the market competitiveness of enterprises and as well as increase economic benefits through IP application.

It was also mentioned during the meeting that it is necessary to actively study and master commercial secret protection as well as strengthen awareness of corporate commercial secret protection.
