Wudang to build science, technology pilot city

Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently issued the Wudang action plan for developing Guiyang into a Scientific and Technological Innovation China pilot city.

According to the plan, by 2025 Wudang is expected to develop itself into an innovative central city, significantly improve its scientific and technological innovation capabilities and efficiency, and basically achieve new industrialization, new urbanization, agricultural modernization, and tourism industrialization.

By then, the number of high-tech enterprises in Wudang should exceed 130, the total number of technology incubation platforms should exceed eight, and two new R&D institutions should be added.

An industrial technological innovation public service center and more than two offshore incubation innovation bases will also be established.

In so doing, Wudang will form a number of technological innovation chains, develop key core technologies, overcome technical problems, and make important scientific research achievements.

A series of public service platforms for scientific and technological research and innovation and business incubation will also be built to provide enterprises with research and development, technology promotion, technology consulting, talent training, technology finance and other services.

Wudang will improve its scientific research system, deepen the reform of its scientific and technological innovation system, and improve its systematic abilities in scientific and technological innovation.

In addition, Wudang plans to speed up the transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, increase the cultivation of demonstration institutions for technology transfer services, and implement more than 10 scientific and technological achievement commercialization projects by 2025.

In addition, by 2025, Wudang plans to introduce and cultivate more than 10 high-level scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurial talent teams, and introduce more than 1,000 outstanding talents of various types.
