Wudang promises '10 good deeds' for residents in 2021

Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has promised to fulfill "10 good deeds" for its people in 2021, according to an announcement on March 3.

The good deeds cover areas including employment, education, medical care and rural revitalization.

In terms of employment, the district will add 4,790 job positions and keep the urban registered unemployment rate within 5 percent.

The district will enhance the education system by building Beiya School, which will have 30 classes and 1,350 enrollment places. Also, the Guiyang School of the High School Affiliated to Minzu University of China will open its doors, offering 5,000 enrollment places. Wudang will also add 1,965 public pre-school places.

Wudang will build a publicly-run standardized community health service center and increase hospital capacity in the district by 500 beds.

In terms of rural revitalization, Wudang will develop 2,500 mu (166.67 hectares) of high-standard farmland and complete the transformation of 2,600 mu of low-yield orchards, among other initiatives.

The district will also improve its natural environment, living environment and transportation system.

In addition, Wudang will strive to enrich people's cultural lives, improve urban safety facilities and upgrade big data intelligent applications for public security to offer more convenience.
