Wudang, Xiamen University agree to green development deal

Wudang district signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Environment and Ecology of Xiamen University on Dec 12.

The two sides will promote the concept of green development and the R&D and application of green production technology.

In recent years, Wudang district has worked hard to advance the concept of green development. The expansion of primary, secondary and tertiary industries has enabled the application of green production technology to help build itself into a garden city.

Wudang district is among the first batch of "Two Mountains Theory" theoretical and practical innovation bases in the country. 

"Two Mountains Theory" refers to the development model that "green mountains and lucid waters are invaluable assets," with the concept becoming well-known and summarized as the "Two Mountains Theory."

Currently, Wudang district is creating a national-level global tourism demonstration zone and promoting the establishment of the Guizhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Industrial Park.
