It has a planned floorspace of 167,426 square meters and will cost 1.5 billion yuan ($214.59 million).
The school includes teaching buildings, canteens, dormitories for students and teachers, a playground and a gymnasium.
When it starts operating, the school will be able to accommodate up to 5,000 boarders.
It will mainly enroll students from Guiyang city, as well as poverty-stricken students and students from minority ethnic groups in Guizhou province.
