Tourists made 1.93 million trips to Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, over the eight-day combined holiday for National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival.
Meanwhile, according to a report in Guiyang Daily, revenue generated by tourism reached 1.18 billion yuan ($171.01 million).
Over the holiday period, Wudang district launched several travel routes featuring countryside sightseeing, intangible culture heritage experience and agricultural adventures, all of which were popular among tourists.

Meanwhile, roughly 10 performances and folk activities were staged at Wudang's representative scenic spots – including Yangchang Huahua Small Town and Yuanwei Small Town – to entertain tourists.
Wudang district organized inspections covering fire protection, general safety and market order in various scenic spots and hotels before the holiday to ensure tourism facilities' smooth operation.
During the holiday, there were no complaints, incidents involving stranded tourists, safety accidents or other major issues. The tourism experience in the entire district were orderly and professional.
