As of April 30, Wudang district in Guiyang — capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province — had already started developing 23 key projects for its big health industry scheduled for the current year, involving an investment of 25.66 billion yuan ($360 million) .
Local officials said that at present, the cumulative capital investment in Wudang's big heath industry is at 4.02 billion yuan, accounting for 15.68 percent of the total investment amount.
They said that at the end of April, all 15 of the big health projects in Wudang had resumed construction and four out of the six new projects have started construction.
In 2020, Wudang district has plans to construct seven health and pharmaceutical industry projects in total. Of these two are pharmaceutical projects, which will receive 800 million yuan in investment, while five healthcare and elderly care industry projects involve an investment totaling 8.85 billion, according to local officials.
Some projects are nearing completion. For example, Guizhou Lianke Zhongbei Pharmaceutical Technology Co has completed eight buildings for its tumor drug production plant and is awaiting completion of the outdoor facilities.
