Guiyang Medical Treatment and Health City

The Guiyang medical treatment and health city project is in Wudang district, Guiyang city, Guizhou province.

Wudang district boasts outstanding ecological resources with 54.93 percent of forest coverage and 93.8 percent of good and excellent air quality days per year. The average temperature of the district is 14.6 °C. It has karst landform, biodiversity, rich geothermal resources, and mountains and waters.

The project is about 15 kilometers away from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, and eight kilometers away from the Guiyang High-speed Railway East Station and the Guiyang Passenger Transport North Station.

So far, the project has been equipped with basic infrastructure and facilities with access to road, power supply, water and gas supply, drainage and communications.

It has completed the conceptual planning and design.

The district has nine pharmaceutical companies above designated size, including three leading enterprises and six Guizhou province backbone enterprises.

The district produces 189 medicines that have obtained national approval numbers, 112 of which have been put into production. Forty-four are included in the national medical insurance catalogues, and 15 are in the basic medicine catalogues. Sales of more than 10 medicines have reached 100 million yuan each. The district has had 93 patents, and is home to seven provincial and municipal enterprise technology centers with 23 new GMP production lines.

To develop the pharmaceutical R&D and production, medical equipment, Chinese medicine plantation and breeding, health tourism and health services industries, Wudang district has been working on improving industrial development quality and expects to play a leading role in Guizhou province.

The planned project will be built with surrounding health, medical and pharmaceutical industrial projects already taking shape, and high-end real estate projects in place. They provide a solid foundation for the establishment of a high-end medical and health industry.
