Wudang district's smart water big data platform draws attention at the Big Data Expo 2019

Wudang district of Guiyang city, Guizhou province, showcased its smart water integrated management big data platform and its Pudu River big data cloud platform based on IPv6 low-power Internet of things at the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019 held recently in Guiyang.

Visitors learn about the smart water integrated management big data platform at the exhibition area of Wudang district at the Big Data Expo 2019 in Guiyang city.

The big data cloud platform provides real-time information about the Pudu River by making use of the IPv6 low-power Internet of Things.  

Wudang district has set up eight water quality monitoring points in the Pudu River. With multi-heterogeneous network transmission, a ground-air integrated monitoring network system, and NB-IoT and IPv6 technologies, the Pudu River big data cloud platform is a sample project to monitor the river’s ecological environment, pollution, and any signs of a catastrophic event.

It helps the district to manage the river in a comprehensive way and conduct real-time analysis and early warning of water quality.
