Cherry plantation in Yanshan village, Xiaba town

Xiaba township, Wudang district, is 29 kilometers from downtown Guiyang. In recent years, the township has built a cherry base by making full use of its geothermal and valley climate advantages. So far, it has planted more than 3,000 hectares of cherries, including over 53 hectares of the American black pearl variety of cherry. The total output of nearly 250,000 kilograms of cherries has come to the market at a price of 20 to 30 yuan per kg. The American black variety cherries taste sweet and juicy and can last longer in storage, making them popular among local people. In 2010, Xiaba township had the Xiaba Brand cherry trademark registered.
