Resources Advantages

Mineral resources: coal, iron, silicon, sulfur, aluminum, limestone, clay, barite and marble, featuring large reserves, low mineral grades, and easy access to exploitation.

Water resources: the water energy reserves are 55,030 kilowatts, and water resources are 1.145 billion cubic meters.

Biological resources: 1,058 varieties of Chinese herbal medicines, 23 rare plants, and 90 kinds of ancient and rare trees. The national and provincial protected plants include cypress, camphor, tulip trees, and cedrela toona; and the national protected animals include boa, macaques, pangolins, otters, forest musk deer and leopards.

Land resources: Wudang district has a cultivated land area of 266.16 million square meters, a garden area of 19.26 million square meters, a forest land area of 389.86 million square meters, and a grassland area of 11.8 million square meters. 

Hot spring resources: the abundant hot spring resources in Wudang district are widely distributed and in large storage. It is estimated that the district's hydrothermal resources amount to 1.77 billion cubic meters. The wellhead temperature is constant between 40 and 55 C. The water contains more than 20 trace elements such as silicon, strontium, nickel, lithium, zinc, selenium, iodine, manganese, iron, copper and boron.
