Women's and Children's Specialist Hospital

The construction project for the Women's and Children's Specialist Hospital in Wudang district, Guiyang City, is about nine kilometers from the downtown area of Guiyang, 10 km from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, and four km from Guiyang High-speed Railway East Station. With convenient transport, the hospital will provide services for pregnant and lying-in women and newborns in Guiyang province.

Wudang district boasts a national smart city pilot project, a national basic health comprehensive reform point, a national sustainable development experimental zone, and a demonstration zone for the development of a large health and medicine industry in Guizhou province.

It also has a few industrial advantages:

First, the pharmaceutical industry enjoys strong development momentum in Wudang district. The district has nine pharmaceutical companies above designated size, including three leading enterprises and six backbone enterprises in Guizhou province.

Second, the district's medical service capacity is becoming increasingly strong with 155 medical and health institutions and 1,409 beds.

Third, the medicinal materials industry has begun to take shape. The district has a rare Chinese herbal medicine planting base covering more than 1,667 hectares, and three standardized planting bases for medicinal materials.

Fourth, the district promotes the integration of the health maintenance industry and the aged industry. The health maintenance industry is flourishing, featuring hot springs, flowers, agricultural tourism and leisure. To date, the district has three professional health maintenance institutions and 33 aged nursing homes.

Fifth, health-related industrial parks are developing rapidly in the district. It has the Guizhou National Agricultural Science and Technology Park (Yangchang), a State-level modern high-efficiency agricultural demonstration park, and five provincial-level modern high-efficiency agricultural demonstration parks, covering 9,773 hectares. The Yunjin Luowan Medicine and Food New Industrial Park has been put into use, and the construction of the Zhihui Yunjin incubation base has been basically completed.

Sixth, the district also has introduced influential pharmaceutical enterprises, medicine industrial parks, hospitals, and leisure and health projects for the aged in the past three years.
