The YT Express, located in the airport modern logistics industrial park of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, shifted into high gear after the Spring Festival holiday that ran from Feb 15 to 23, ushering in a post-holiday high in terms of express deliveries.
As backlogged parcels from before the holiday and newly shipped goods arrived, the daily inbound and outbound volume at the park surged to 2 million pieces, representing a year-on-year increase of about 30 percent.
As a leading logistics enterprise in the park, YT Express serves as the provincial express transit hub. Nearly 1.8 million parcels from across the country are sorted here daily and distributed to 88 cities, counties, and districts in Guizhou province, and 600,000 Guizhou items depart from here to all parts of China daily.
"To cope with the high delivery volume, 75 percent of all 1,200 employees at the sorting center have been clocking in for duty," said Chen Xia, a representative of YT Express.
Except for equipment maintenance and necessary downtime, the company's machines have been operating almost round the clock to ensure sorting efficiency.

The number of registered logistics enterprises in Shuanglong has reached 279, forming an integrated supply chain development model centered on express sorting, pharmaceutical logistics, fast-moving consumer goods, and liquor transportation.
The logistics industrial park has gathered dozens of well-known logistics enterprises, including 34 above the designated size, accounting for more than 10 percent of the total, making them an important pillar of high-quality regional economic development.
"During this year's Spring Festival holiday, most logistics enterprises in the park maintained operations. At present, all logistics enterprises in the economic zone have fully resumed work and production," said a Shuanglong representative.
