The labor union of the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone reopened its "homecoming service station" at Longdongbao High‑Speed Railway Station on Feb 4, providing services for migrant workers returning home.
The service station offers supplies such as bottled water, instant noodles, and bread. It also introduces local employment policies and recommends employment information platforms.
"A staff member told me I should pay more attention to local recruitment after the Spring Festival holiday, so that I can find good opportunities here in my hometown," said Chen, who's returned home for the Spring Festival.
"We have been setting up the service station during the Spring Rush for five consecutive years. We hope that through small acts of care, our migrant workers can feel the warmth of their hometown as they step off the train," said a representative of the labor union of Shuanglong.
Over the past five years, the service station has served more than 10,000 returning migrant workers and distributed over 5,000 items, becoming an important service platform for the labor union.
Shuanglong will focus on the employment needs of migrant workers, expand its service content and improve its service models. It will also strengthen care and support for frontline transport workers and migrant workers during the Spring Festival holiday to enhance their sense of belonging.
