During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Oct 1 to 8, the cultural tourism market in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone saw strong growth, receiving a total of 470,000 tourists and generating tourism revenue of more than 180 million yuan ($25.26 million).
The zone's investment promotion bureau, together with six key cultural and commercial enterprises, organized a total of 86 cultural and tourism activities, covering various fields such as cultural exhibitions, folk festivals, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, with a total reception of about 200,000 people.

Three A-level tourist attractions in the zone, including Guiyang Forest Park, received a total of 310,000 visitors. Leading retail enterprise SASSEUR Outlets achieved dual growth in sales and customer flow, with cumulative sales of 88.85 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9 percent. The passenger flow reached 505,600, up 12 percent year-on-year. Fifteen key catering enterprises achieved a turnover of 2.52 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3 percent.
Driven by various consumption promotion policies and the thriving holiday economy, the zone's accommodation market has been stimulated. The 20 key monitored accommodation enterprises received about 26,000 tourists, with an average occupancy rate of 68.81 percent, showing a steady increase.
The passenger throughput of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport exceeded 547,860, a year-on-year increase of 2.28 percent. The cargo and mail throughput was 2,222.15 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.36 percent. The airport operated a total of 3,584 flights, an increase of 1.79 percent.

Relying on Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone's role as a tourism hub and gateway to Guizhou is becoming increasingly prominent, with its attractiveness to tourists from surrounding provinces and areas rising steadily.
