Spanning 6.47 square kilometers, the hub operates seven international cargo routes, connecting Guizhou with South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe, forming a crucial "air logistics corridor" that supports both outbound local products and inbound global goods.

In 2024, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport achieved a historic milestone by launching its first intercontinental cargo route, with international cargo volume surpassing 6,000 metric tons, 80 percent of the total handled between 2015 and 2023.

The hub's modern logistics park now hosts 147 companies, including industry leaders such as SF Express and YTO Logistics. In 2024 alone, the park generated revenue of 5.14 billion yuan ($733.28 million), reflecting a 4.04 percent year-on-year growth.

Enhanced by smart logistics systems, operations have significantly improved in speed and scale. For example, the Guizhou Bokai Medical Logistics Park in the hub handles up to 30,000 shipments daily, with cold-chain efficiency boosted by 30 percent.

With air cargo throughput reaching 66,500 tons so far this year – up 15.76 percent year-on-year – the hub is positioned to become a key cross-border e-commerce node in Southwest China, with international cargo expected to grow over 30 percent annually in the coming years.
