Guiyang's airport-based national logistics hub in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has been included in China's national hub development list, marking the first time the zone has earned a national-level designation in modern logistics.

Under the plan, the hub comprises three functional zones: an air cargo zone, a port logistics zone, and an airport-adjacent logistics zone, covering a total of more than 6 square kilometers. The airport-adjacent zone plays a central role, supporting core businesses such as trunk-branch warehousing, distribution, and integrated supply-chain services.

Major logistics firms, including Cainiao, SF Express, and YTO Express, have established operations in the zone, just 15 minutes from the airport. Specialized logistics clusters are taking shape, focusing on pharmaceutical distribution, liquor supply chains, and fast-moving consumer goods, attracting nearly 100 related companies.

Driven by coordinated park development, the zone's logistics revenue rose 18.05 percent year-on-year in 2024, with more than 260 logistics enterprises now operating in the area.

Utilizing the national hub designation, the zone plans to enhance air cargo capacity, expand supply-chain clusters, and improve services and infrastructure to further boost high-quality logistics development.
