The memorial, which began trial operations on Oct 22, 2023, is located near the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport. Aerial views reveal an elegant design resembling a red ribbon winding through the mountains.
The exterior color scheme of the Hongpiaodai employs a jumping color design inspired by the Chishui Danxia landforms in Guizhou province, harmoniously blending the architecture with the natural landscape and offering varying visual and spatial effects as viewers move around.
As the first immersive red cultural and tourism digital experience hall, the Hongpiaodai serves not only as an art project but also as a vital platform for promoting the spirit of the Long March.
During its year-long trial operation, it has become a shining symbol of Guizhou's red culture. With its official opening, it will leverage its role as a key project in Guizhou's Long March National Cultural Park, connecting with red venues and resources across the province and the nation to boost cultural and tourism development in Guizhou and establish itself as a world-class tourist destination.
During the trial operation period, the Hongpiaodai hosted a total of 8,300 performances, welcoming over 1 million visits from within and outside the province.
