The China Airport Economy Development Index Report 2024 was recently released at the sixth Air Silk Road International Forum in Chongqing.

According to the report, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone ranked 12th among 17 national airport demonstration zones, improving one position from 2022. The evaluation covers nine key indices, including hub-driven, regional influence, development momentum, international opening-up, and green development.
In 2023, the Shuanglong zone showed significant progress in several areas. It ranked second in the regional influence index, and its international opening-up index improved by four positions. It also secured the top spot in green development, reflecting its commitment to sustainable practices.
The Shuanglong zone's GDP reached 26.1 billion yuan ($3.69 billion) in 2023, marking a 12.6 percent increase from the previous year. This growth was supported by the expansion of the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, which now operates 198 domestic and six international routes.
With nearly a decade of development, the Shuanglong zone is a key player in Guizhou province's open economy. It fosters industrial growth and improves the quality of life for residents through ongoing infrastructural and service enhancements.
As it approaches its 11th year, the Shuanglong zone remains focused on high-quality development and innovative growth strategies.
