Thanks to the booming tourism in Guizhou province this summer, the passenger throughput at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport has broken records six times since the start of the summer travel season, with a peak of more than 80,000 passengers in a single day.

This year's summer travel season began on July 1 and will last until Aug 31, totaling 62 days. According to the latest forecast data from the airport, it is expected to receive 4.65 million passengers during this period, averaging 75,000 passengers per day, marking a 14.67-percent year-on-year increase.
Since the start of the summer travel season on July 1, Guiyang airport has repeatedly set new records in daily passenger throughput, surpassing the previous high of 76,000 passengers on July 13.
As of Aug 12, the airport has served a total of 13.926 million passengers this year, reflecting an 18.51-percent year-on-year increase.
During the summer travel season, flights from the airport are mainly directed toward the East China and Central-South China regions, accounting for 46 percent and 22 percent of flights, respectively.
This summer, the airport has organized a series of activities tailored to summer travelers, including village markets, local food feasts, prickly pear juice tasting, and stamp collecting, aiming to create a festive atmosphere and enhance the travel experience.
