Guizhou Ocean One, the country's first cruise-themed cultural and tourism complex, located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, opened on Aug 8, combining marine culture with Guizhou's unique ethnic culture.
Resembling a giant cruise ship, Guizhou Ocean One boasts four flours with a total area of 10,000 square meters. It focuses on children's research, education, popular science, parent-child interaction, marine cultural education, red culture and liquor culture, integrating restaurants, bars, research training and recreation.
Its seafood restaurant sells a variety of fresh seafood and features robot-arm-themed bars and a leisure area.
In addition, the complex features various interactive experience areas. For instance, the jellyfish popular science laboratory provides an in-depth understanding of jellyfish, including their reproduction methods and conservation significance, through professional explanations and demonstrations. Furthermore, children are allowed to study while playing in the interactive jellyfish theater and VR experience area.
Striving to build a comprehensive marine science popularization base, Guizhou Ocean One plans to hold various thematic activities and research courses regularly in the future, offering young people a platform for studying marine-related knowledge and cultivating their scientific literacy and practical skills.
