A ceremony was held on May 16 in the Cross-Border E-commerce Industrial Incubation Park in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, where the Guizhou Import and Export Enterprise Association officially announced its relocation to the Shuanglong zone.
During the relocation ceremony, Mei Zhihong, secretary-general of the Guizhou Import and Export Enterprise Association, stated that the Shuanglong zone not only boasts Guizhou's only national 4E-level airport but also possesses exceptional transportation infrastructure. Additionally, it houses Guizhou's largest logistics park and serves as an open platform for Guizhou's "one bureau and four centers" initiative, with customs clearance efficiency surpassing that of surrounding provinces and cities.
The association aims to attract more foreign trade enterprises, connect upstream and downstream businesses, and facilitate the export of various resources from Guiyang and Guizhou, injecting fresh vitality into Guiyang's opening-up, Mei added.
Luo Wei, a member of the Party working committee and deputy director of the administrative committee of the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, emphasized that the relocation of the association is a significant endorsement of the Shuanglong zone's open economy.
This move will provide a platform for foreign trade enterprises to communicate, cooperate, and develop, bridging the communication gap between the government and businesses. The Shuanglong zone will provide comprehensive services for the association, supporting foreign trade enterprises and contributing to the high-quality development of Guiyang's and Guizhou's exports.
In 2023, the Shuanglong zone achieved 6.69 billion yuan ($926.16 million) in foreign trade, accounting for 11.53 percent of Guiyang's total and 8.8 percent of Guizhou's total.
