In the first quarter of this year, 13 logistics enterprises above a designated size in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone achieved a revenue of 213 million yuan ($29.4 million), marking a 14-percent year-on-year growth.
Guizhou Aviation Port Logistics Development Co, an air cargo transportation company in the Shuanglong zone, collaborated with Guizhou SF Express Co this year to undertake the transportation of spring tea.
By increasing security forces, reducing circulation links, and utilizing passenger aircraft belly cargo space, the company ensured a swift and direct connection from tea production locations to consumption locations. This provided robust logistics support for the further expansion of Guizhou's spring tea market.
In the first quarter, the company achieved a revenue of 29.91 million yuan, up by 17 percent year-on-year.
During this same period, the Shuanglong zone received special Belt and Road Initiative budgets of 1.5 million yuan and 2 million yuan for logistics cost reduction and efficiency improvement purposes.
Moving forwards, efforts will be made to expand the scale of the zone's logistics sector and promote the high-quality development of its logistics facilities. The Shuanglong zone will strive to build into a national logistics distribution hub with high standards, efficient operations, as well as enhanced technological empowerment, innovative models, and resource allocation.
