This year, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has set ambitious targets, aiming to recruit 2,000 new talents, employ 2,500 new college and university graduates, and attract 300 graduates from universities outside the province to work in the zone, all in an effort to gather various urgently-needed talents for industrial development.
In 2023, the zone successfully achieved various talent recruitment goals for the year.
A total of 1,532 job positions were made available throughout the year, surpassing the target by 4.1 percent. Additionally, 1,702 graduates were successfully employed, achieving a completion rate of 113.47 percent.
Throughout the year, a total of 1,023 big data professionals were recruited, achieving a completion rate of 102.3 percent, while 1,041 manufacturing professionals were brought in, reaching a completion rate of 104.1 percent.
Regarding talent housing, the zone overcame several challenges and successfully secured 710 housing units for talents. Over 60 young talents were granted rental subsidies and funds for skills enhancement, totaling over 800,000 yuan ($110,675.30). Additionally, 13 apartments were provided for 15 high-level talents, and over 10 talents were assisted in applying for municipal talent settlement allowances and talent recruitment subsidies.
To ensure the success of this year's talent recruitment efforts, the zone proactively planned and initiated talent recruitment activities early in the year, resulting in the employment of over 300 new talents, as well as the promotion of 938 job positions so far.
