As the Spring Festival holiday draws to a close, enterprises in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have resumed work and production. They are committed to showing a strong economic performance in the first quarter.
The zone's economic development bureau said that, as of Feb 18, approximately 22 industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.78 million) or more – in the zone resumed work and production, achieving a resumption rate of 73.3 percent. It is expected that all enterprises will resume work and production by Feb 25.
About 23 major provincial projects are currently under construction in the zone. Among them, 15 projects have already resumed work, achieving a resumption rate of 65 percent.
An official from the zone's economic development bureau said that a work plan to push for the post-holiday resumption of major projects has been formulated. A special task force has been established to accelerate the resumption of key projects after the holiday, and it has urged enterprises to do the same.
Next, the zone will make coordinated efforts to ensure that its businesses and projects return to pre-holiday production levels as quickly as possible.
These concerted efforts aim to ensure a swift and efficient recovery for businesses and projects, thereby contributing to the region's overall economic revival.
