In 2023, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone made strong efforts to further open up, improve open port functionality, build a cross-border e-commerce ecosystem, and cultivate and expand market entities.
These efforts led to steady development of Shuanglong zone's export-oriented economy, with its foreign trade increasing by 57.56 percent year-on-year.
The construction of the so-called "one bureau and four centers" and a comprehensive designated supervision site was promoted, with various facilities completed. The international freight center was officially put into use on June 28, 2023, and three designated supervision sites for inbound fruits, edible aquatic animals and chilled aquatic products were approved and included in the list of designated supervision sites by the General Administration of Customs on Oct 18.
Relying on a strong cross-border e-commerce service system, the Shuanglong zone has completed visits and surveys of 106 cross-border e-commerce companies and attracted 52 such companies to register on the China (Guiyang) cross-border e-commerce public service platform.
In terms of foreign trade, the Shuanglong zone focused on industrial investment promotion throughout the year. Relying on comprehensive designated supervision sites, the Shuanglong zone connected with leading companies and conducted on-site inspections to promote the implementation of related projects.
For foreign investment, the Shuanglong zone helped Yiyi Technology (Guizhou) Co, a big data company, to complete the transfer of domestic capital to foreign capital, helping the company grow and expand.
Also, efforts were made to solve the financing difficulties of domestic and foreign trade enterprises and help enterprises apply for entry into the "Qianmao Loan" whitelist established by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce, leading to seven foreign trade enterprises applying for inclusion.
Meanwhile, the Shuanglong zone provided all-round assistance for enterprises in areas such as project implementation, engineering construction, and operation and development, opened a 24-hour green channel, and shortened the time needed for enterprises to handle various procedures.
