In 2023, the cumulative turnover of accommodation enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 2 million yuan ($279,798.98) or more – in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone reached 110 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.61 percent.
Among the 13 districts, county-level cities and counties in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, the Shuanglong zone's growth rate ranked first in the accommodation industry.

In 2023, four accommodation companies in the zone, including Guiyang Airport Garden Hotel, were upgraded to accommodation enterprises above a designated size, bringing the total number of such companies in the economic zone to 13.
Relying on the zone's land, hot springs and other resources, it has planned hotel projects and carried out investment promotion work to expand the growth of the accommodation industry.
The implementation of a series of policies has accelerated the recovery of cultural tourism consumption in the zone.

With the new influx of tourists, the hotel accommodation industry saw its highest rate of occupancy ever, with all rooms filled. During National Day, some hotels in the Shuanglong zone even saw their most-ever holiday tourists.
Guiyang Airport Garden Hotel was fully booked 16 times in July and 21 times in August. Its average occupancy rate from July to August was 90 percent.
Moving forward, the Shuanglong zone will continue to cultivate accommodation industry enterprises, keep a close eye on the progress of related projects under construction, provide high-quality business services and support the development of the accommodation industry.
