Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched an intelligent EV charging station project and a low-carbon demonstration project, with a ceremony held on Dec 22 at Bokai Pharmaceutical Logistics Park in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.

The projects are invested in and developed by Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group, a State-owned company in Guiyang.
The intelligent EV charging station project, with a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan ($21 million), plans to construct 50 charging stations and 1,447 charging piles throughout the city in 2024.
In addition to the charging facilities, supporting projects such as the charging service supervision platform and monitoring system will be constructed.
The project aims to meet the increasing needs of EV charging across the city. Once completed, it will form a charging network with a radius of 1.5 kilometers in the central urban area and 3 km in surrounding counties, resulting in an estimated reduction of around 239,600 metric tons of carbon emissions during the operation period.
The low-carbon demonstration project is the first low-carbon park in Guiyang and Guian, jointly established by Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group and Bokai Pharmaceutical Logistics Park.
It plans to install distributed photovoltaic power stations on the rooftops of the park's buildings and construct intelligent charging stations on the ground parking areas, with a total investment of 16.3 million yuan.
Bokai Pharmaceutical Logistics Park is one of the first green logistics parks in Guizhou province.
