From January to July, 10 logistics companies above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.73 million) or more – in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone saw their total revenue hit 374 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 49 percent.
The booming logistics industry is becoming a bright spot in the zone's continued economic development.
To improve and upgrade its aviation logistics park, the zone has been strengthening its enterprise services this year. While promoting the increased production and efficiency of the logistics projects that are already up and running, efforts have also been made to provide favorable business services.
These measures have led to the continuous expansion of the logistics industry in the zone, the widening of the scope of its business, a continuous increase in operating income, and the reinvigoration of the logistics market.
During this six-month period, there were six logistics projects under construction, with a total investment of 2.45 billion yuan and a cumulative completed investment of 1.58 billion yuan.
Of that number, five parks are expected to be completed and put into operation this year. Several planned projects will also commence construction.
Moving forward, the zone will develop its logistics industry in line with the needs of opening-up. Gradually, it will become a key pillar industry in the zone.
