Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has seen its logistic sector grow rapidly since the start of this year, local media reported.
The operating revenue of 10 large-sized logistic transportation enterprises has increased by 35.96 percent year-on-year, according to the economic zone's bureau of economic development.

The logistics park in the economic zone has introduced 14 well-known logistics enterprise companies, including Shunfeng, Yuantong, Cainiao, Jiacheng, Chefuwang, and Moutai Logistics. The total investment in the project is 13.8 billion yuan ($2 billion), with 5.7 billion yuan already spent. Four logistic projects have already been put into operation, four are under construction, and another four are still in the planning stages.
In recent years, the economic zone has taken concrete measures to continuously improve services for enterprises and actively helps them to increase production and improve efficiency.
"The logistics industry in the economic zone is mainly developed around an air cargo hub, based on the development of air cargo at Longdongbao International Airport -the only national-class airport in the province, and with the airport's planned modern logistics park and comprehensive service area as the carrier," said Xu Hui, deputy director of the economic zone's bureau of economic development.

The zone focuses on the development of aviation express, bonded logistics, cold-chain logistics, distribution logistics and other fields as it seeks to build an industrial system for air logistics, Xi said, adding that most logistics enterprises in the economic zone chose the zone due to the airport.
Thanks to its unique geographical position and strong foundation for the development of the logistics industry, the economic zone has formed an airport logistics industrial system featuring logistics warehousing, air transportation services, exhibition and trade.
There are over 40 logistics enterprises, big and small, operating in the zone's logistic park, comprising a modern airport logistics park and a comprehensive port economic zone.
