The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone and Wuhan Optics Valley Union Group Co (OVU) signed a cooperation framework agreement in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on March 2.
The two sides will jointly build the China Electronics Optics Valley Shuanglong Airport Intelligent Manufacturing Park.

OVU, a domestic wholly-owned subsidiary of China Electronics Optics Valley Union Holding Co, is a leading park operator in China. It has abundant resources and experience in the investment promotion and operation of standard workshops, the introduction of high-quality industries, and the planning and construction of parks.
Yang Renzhong, secretary of the Party working committee of the Shuanglong zone, said that the cooperation with OVU will effectively accelerate development of the industrial park and the zone's industrial economy.
The Shuanglong zone will take the signing as an opportunity to provide optimal services and policy support for enterprises investing in the zone, Yang added.
Huang Liping, president of OVU, said that the Shuanglone zone has excellent infrastructure, significant location advantages, strong industrial positioning, and huge potential for developing manufacturing.
OVU will rely on its advantages to build the project into a regional benchmark park, Huang added.
The project has started construction, with a construction area of about 780,000 square meters and a total investment of 4.88 billion yuan ($705.26 million). It will focus on the introduction of projects related to advanced equipment manufacturing and electronic information manufacturing.
