The first batch of 190 apartments for talent and professionals working in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been completed and is ready for final review, local media reported.
The apartments, located in Mazhai New Town in Guiyang, were renovated by Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Real Estate Co from the existing houses for the purpose of resettlement.
"They are all small high-rises with elevators. They have two bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen and one bathroom," said Wang Xia, head of the apartment project in Mazhai New Town of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Real Estate Co.
The average floor area of each house is around 80 square meters, with the smallest one being 67 square meters and the largest being 85 square meters, and there are 8 different layouts, Wang said.
"At present, with the exception of TVs and air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and other basic daily necessities have been provided," Wang said.
In order to address the concerns of talent over affordable houses and better attract more outstanding professionals to work there, the economic zone will build a total of 900 affordable rental houses, officials said.
