As COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control has entered a new stage and the demand for medicines from patients across the country has surged, Guizhou Liangji Pharmaceutical Co in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, has increased production to ensure sufficient supply.
The Shuanglong zone is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Guizhou Liangji Pharmaceutical Co is a modern pharmaceutical enterprise integrating drug research and development, production and sales, mainly producing traditional Chinese medicine preparations and chemical preparations, and controls every part of the industrial chain.

The company now has multiple advanced production lines for granules, ointments, capsules, tablets and mixtures, and has gradually formed a number of core product clusters with independent intellectual property rights.
The Guizhou Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued the "Guidelines for the Intervention of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Patients Infected with COVID-19 in Guizhou Province" on Dec 12, which recommended several medicines produced by the company.

"This represents not only official approval, but also a responsibility to help with pandemic prevention and control," said Fu Zhengyou, deputy general manager of the company.
In order to help the government fight the pandemic, as of now, the company has donated 1,000 anti-epidemic medicine kits worth more than 400,000 yuan ($57,533.51) to the Shuanglong zone's management committee and the family members of enterprise employees.
