In recent years, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has comprehensively begun focusing on talent development, improving both the quality and quantity of talent teams.
The zone is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The zone has signed strategic cooperation agreements with four universities, including Guizhou University, and invited the secretaries and principals of six universities in the province to visit more than 10 enterprises in the zone to discuss development.
Four school recruitment activities and three livestream activities to introduce jobs have been held, with nearly 100 enterprises providing more than 1,000 high-quality positions and collecting more than 6,700 resumes.
The zone has also actively built an online talent introduction platform, while more than 100 companies in the zone have published more than 3,000 job requirements on the aforementioned platform, Guiyang talent network, and the official website of the Guizhou Professionals Convention.
In addition, two innovation and entrepreneurship roadshows were carried out, attracting more than 30 teams in the zone to participate, and providing 34,000 yuan ($4,686.04) in funding support for each winning team.
By the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), the total number of skilled workers in the zone had reached 15,000, including more than 400 high-level skilled workers at home and abroad.
By 2025, the number of skilled workers in the zone will reach 30,000, and a talent team that is compatible with the zone's high-quality development will be nearly complete.
