"Many friends didn't understand why I came to Guizhou at first, but now, they are gradually beginning to understand and agree with my decision," said Dong Bo, chief operating officer of Yunshang Shulian (Guizhou) Information Technology Co.
Dong Bo is from Northeast China's Jilin province. In 2015, after finishing her studies in the United States, she came to Guizhou on the advice of her mentor and jointly established Guizhou Shuanglong Digital Technology Co with her companions in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
"After settling in the Shuanglong zone, the administrative committee provided 2,400 square meters of office space for me and the team for free and helped with employees' accommodation and children's education, relieving our anxieties about starting a business here."
After several years of development, the zone has undergone significant changes in every respect. Dong's company has also expanded from finance to all aspects of governance.
On Feb 14, 2020, Dong and her team received the task of helping Guizhou build a pandemic control platform. In just one week, the company finished building the platform. In addition, data analysis for the Guizhou Health Code was completed by the company.
"The Guizhou Health Code is very advanced," said Dong Bo, as Guizhou uses colors to distinguish health levels, is convenient and fast, and can have up to 30 million people online at the same time.
Dong is now in her seventh year in Guizhou. Over the past seven years, her career has been flourishing and she has traveled the mountains and rivers of Guizhou.
With the help of the Shuanglong zone's administrative committee, she has joined the China Youth Entrepreneurs Association and the Guizhou Provincial Youth Entrepreneurs Association and participated in various training activities.
