The groundbreaking ceremony for a series of planned standardized industrial production plants in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone was held on Feb 16.
The zone is located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Renzhong, secretary of the zone's Party working committee, Lan Jing and Liu Jianchun, deputy directors of the zone's administrative committee, as well as Ren Jingfei, president of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Development & Investment Group Co and other officials and businesspeople.
Speaking at the ceremony, Yang said it was necessary to attract investment and develop a number of industrial projects with high technology content, big potential, large industrial scale and offering major social benefits.
Zone departments should pay close attention to the improvement of support functions for the plants, Yang said.
They should also focus on the construction of commercial and residential facilities, such as employee apartments, logistics and warehousing, to provide a great environment for the development and growth of enterprises, Yang added.
According to the blueprints, the zone plans to build six groups of standardized plants, with a total area of about 2,606 mu (173 hectares) and a total construction area of 3.26 million square meters.
This year, the zone will start construction of 1 million sq m of plants and is expected to complete construction of 700,000 sq m.
